Project summary:

Above is a report on three HRF grants, the third of which was conducted in conjunction with a NYSDEC Hudson River Estuary Program grant.

Several local streams were studied with respect to water quality (fecal bacteria, pH, dissolved 02, turbidity, conductivity), hydrology and fish diversity. These included:

• The Sing Sing Kill (aka "Kill Brook")

• Sparta Brook

• Indian Brook (coming from the reservoir)

• Parker Bale Brook (next to the Parker Bale VFW building in Crotonville)

• The Pocantico River
